5 steps to stay calm in a turbulent environment

Every single person, even the most calm, tolerant and considerate person, sometimes gets into negative situations. And to fall into an environment that is conflictual and hostile. I will give you 5 steps to help you, when you find yourself in a negative situation, to be able to stay out of the low-frequency vortex of the restless environment. How do you manage to keep yourself calm? Every time you manage to stay calm in a turbulent environment - YOU WIN!

We have no way of controlling the circumstances around us. You cannot predict and manage the circumstances, situations and people in your life. However! You have the power to control your own reactions. The attitude of others is their business, but how you react is yours. You only have the right to choose your reactions. The only aspect of conflict you can control is your own reaction.

You cannot control the environment, but you can learn to recognize, manage and learn from the negative emotion and the signals it gives you.

What are these 5 steps to stay calm in a turbulent environment:

Breathe!- Remind yourself to breathe.

When you find yourself in a tense situation, breathing usually stops or becomes shallow and shallow. The so-called clavicle breathing. And when breathing stops or becomes shallow, the flow of oxygen to the brain also stops. And then the ability to think and make adequate decisions sharply decreases. At such a time, it is important to remind yourself to take a few slow, deep breaths so that you regain your ability to think clearly and adequately.

Observe the signals of the body!

In such tense situations, the body begins to give signals long before the negative emotion is unleashed. It's different for every person. Start observing your body. In some people, the lower jaw tightens strongly, the heart starts to beat faster, tightness in the stomach or under the spoon, instinctively clenching the fists. What are your body's reactions? Thus, by recognizing the body's signals early, you will very quickly start to control your emotions.

Name it! the way you feel

Recognize the emotion and name it. Right now I am furious, angry, envious, jealous, hateful, envious, offended. The moment you recognize and name the emotion that is controlling you, the power of the emotion will drop by half. It is disabled. Her hair is sharply reduced. The moment you realize it and admit it to yourself, you will no longer be subject to it so strongly emotionally.

Take responsibility! – you are not a victim!

Yes! It's easier to play the victim. And leave yourself to self-pity. However! For you to be drawn into this situation, for a person to react in a certain way that hurts you, you have drawn them into your life. What have you radiated from yourself to end up here. Ask yourself: - What do I have to learn from this situation? What is she coming to tell me? How will this situation help me take a step forward? How can I turn this negative situation into a positive one for me and my life?

Make a decision! – to stay calm!

Decide to stay calm in any situation. It is not possible to control people and events outside of you. You've probably tried many times, right? 😉 But you have the right to choose your reaction to the situation. You have the right to remain calm, even when the circumstances around me are uneasy.

The situations around us are countless. When a person goes through his life, he has no way of predicting events that would come in life. You cannot predict and be responsible for events and situations outside of you. But you have the ability to manage your reactions to these events. This is where your power lies. Events are not subject to control. People and the way they perceive the world are beyond control. But your strength is learning, recognizing and managing your reaction to external factors.

LIFE IS WONDERFUL! … YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!
