The real poverty

Today I want to present you a very short parable. It shows in an extremely accurate way why things in our wonderful country are still far from ideal.

Here is the parable itself:

A poor man asked the Buddha:
"Why am I so poor?"

The Buddha answered him:
"You haven't learned to give."

Then the poor man said, "What if I have nothing?"

The Buddha replied: "You have several things:

– A face that can give a smile;

– Lips with which you can thank or comfort others;

– A heart to open to people;

– Eyes with which to look through the prism of kindness;

"A body to use to help."

So, actually, you are not poor.

Poverty of spirit is true poverty.

The good news is that while there are people who
- They don't spare their smiles

- They thank you for every gesture

-They use their bodies to help and

- They are open-hearted

There is hope.

I believe that more and more truly rich spirited people, handing out handfuls of beauty, harmony, peace and happiness will surround us! I believe!
