Legend of the Woman

/Indian Legend of the Woman/

When Tvashtri (the Indian god, creator of living and dead nature) was creating the world and man, all his materials ran out and he did not know what to make the woman out of. And Tvashtri thought. After much thought, he took:

the roundness of the moon,

the wavy line of the snake,

the trembling of the grass

the velvet of the flowers,

the tenderness of the leaves,

the gaze of the doe,

the tears of the clouds

the fickleness of the wind,

fear of the rabbit

the softness of down,

diamond hardness,

the sweetness of honey

the heat of the fire

the cold of the snow

the vanity of the peacock and

the cooing of the pigeon.

All this he mixed up and created the woman. He then gave it to the man. A week later, the man returned to Tvashtri.

- Lord, the creature you gave me makes my life miserable. She talks all the time and wants me to talk to her, she always makes me do different things, her mood changes in a moment - now she is angry with me, now she is nice, she wants us to be together everywhere, she doesn't leave me alone for a moment! I came to ask you to take her back.

And Tvashtri took the woman back. But after a week the man came to the god again and said:

- Lord, since I returned the creature to you, my life has been lonely. I can't forget how she danced and sang, how she looked at me, how beautiful she was when she loved me, and how powerful she made me feel…

And the god returned his wife. Only three days had passed and the man came to the god again.

"Tvastri," he said, "what shall I do?" Your creature angers me again, gives me headaches again... I am wretched - I cannot live with a woman, and without a woman - not at all!

And Tvashtri answered him:

"It's meant to be."
I gave you the woman, but actually I gave you to her.
I made you subject to her power, to make you stronger.

For you, the woman will be like the water in the river, which smooths the pebble, polishes its edges, gives it a more beautiful and gentle shape.
Accept your lot and be thankful! Now go back home and don't forget what I told you: woman is your mirror and your teacher!

And you be her support and support!

Let her love you and love her too! Take off your armor, open yourself up to it, invite it in, receive it. Let her conquer you. Because it's the only battle in life that's only won when you lose it
