How to stay positive when life deals you a bitter pill?

Even if you are the most positive person in the world, sometimes life gives you a bitter bite instead of a gift. However, this by no means means letting go of the flow or giving in to a bad mood or burdensome thoughts. See more about the contagious bad mood: 9 things that affect your mood.

In fact, these bitter pills are real gifts, because they build you as a person, sharpen the edges of your character, make you really strong, allow you to strengthen the muscles of your wings so that you can spread them and fly at the first opportunity.

So how do you stay positive when life deals you a bitter pill?

I offer you advice, that will help you to stay positive:

1. Everything is relative and… is just a personal feeling

It is good to understand that "good" or "bad" are just labels seen from the perspective of eternity. You can read this parable, which will help you understand exactly what I mean

I'll give you an example. Everyone associates the word failure with failure, and labels it "bad" accordingly.

But from Thomas Edison's point of view, failures were a good thing. Because every failure has shown the great inventor that he should change something, make new adjustments, turn his gaze to another aspect of his invention.
His line is not accidental either:

"I have not failed. I just found 10,000 ways that don't work."

This work of his thought has also made him one of the most productive inventors of our time.

In fact, realizing that everything is neutral from a universal point of view will allow you to understand that it is your consciousness that labels success/failure, good/bad.

This will help you look at the events in your life from another angle and turn the "bad" into something positive and beautiful.

Here is a Bulgarian proverb that clearly shows where to focus your attention: A blessing in disguise!

2. Remember your dreams.

You sure have a lot of dreams. In a moment of difficulty, remember the strongest, most inspiring dream, kick it out of the dust, ride it and fly in your thoughts, imagine how you feel when it becomes a reality.
Imagine breaking the news to your loved ones. Imagine the details.
If, for example, this is a new home – imagine the colors, the furniture, the furnishings.
If it is an achievement at work - describe in your thoughts how your colleagues or your boss or your client will be smiling and inspired by what you have achieved.

This mind game will help you stay focused on what's most important to you.

Most people fail to achieve success because they get distracted by the little things going on around them. Because they think about their problems, because they talk about them. That is why our society is so heavily overshadowed by negativity.

If you want to keep a positive outlook, keep your dreams alive in your thoughts, because so says the saying "You become what you think about all the time".

3. Learn a lesson

Successful people see difficulties as lessons, as examples of the need for change. Difficulties are not problems, they are OPPORTUNITIES!

When Steve Jobs was fired from Apple at the age of 30, he felt his life was over. Later, looking back on this episode of his life, he says that his dismissal from Apple was the best something that could have happened to him. This has allowed him to gain a new perspective and return years later to lead the company to the heights of incredible success.

So you learn from mistakes, obstacles, failures, life is the best teacher that constantly develops you and helps you expand your consciousness.

4. Reinvent yourself, ignite your passion

One of the best ways to keep your positive attitude is to reinvent yourself, your goals and ignite your passion. Your goals are what drive you, and passion is what keeps you moving.

Studying the lives of the highly successful, you will find that they all have an incredible passion for the things they do. All of them! Passion is the tireless, powerful engine to achieve your own goals!

Let passion guide you, choose your actions. This may sound unreasonable, but it is certainly the most pleasant and shortest path to the success you long for. The only way to succeed in what you do is to love it, to burn in your work, in your actions, in your thoughts. It is not by chance that there is so much truth in the following words:

Find three favorite hobbies:

- The first is to attract money to you

-The second is to keep you in shape

-The third is to make you creative

Besides, who said that the path you imagine in your mind is the right one for you? The Universe/God/Higher Mind or whatever you call it probably has a different idea about things, maybe you're going in the wrong direction and that's why you're running into obstacles?

Here's another thread to ponder along those lines: Lessons of the Universe: The Rule of Three Signals

5. Act!

Often people get into a difficult situation mainly because of two things. Either they take the wrong actions or they are lazy and do nothing.

When you are in trouble, you have to move and change something, act! Make a plan of action, look at things around you from a different angle.
Make a list of all the things you can do to deal with the difficulties and just do them. No one ever planned to be poor or fat or lazy or just plain stupid, right? These are the things that happen when you don't have a plan.

So take your time now. Sit quietly with a piece of paper and a pen. Make a plan to get out of the situation you don't like.

Sleep and the next day make a decision - to act on the plan or to let the current flow.

The choice is yours!
