Interview with… God

I asked God for an interview. To my surprise, He agreed. – Interview with… God

- Come in! God told me. "So you would like to interview me?"

"If you have time..." I told him.

He smiled and replied:

– My time is called eternity and it is enough for everything. What questions do you want to ask me?

- Not those who are unknown to you. What is the thing that surprises you the most about people?

– That they get bored while they're kids, rush to grow up, and then long to be kids again. That they lose their health to make money and then waste the money to get their health back. That, thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the present and thus live neither for the present nor for the future. That they live as if they will never die, and then die as if they never lived….

His hands took mine and we stood there in silence.

After a long time I asked Him:

– Can I ask you one more question?

He answered me with a smile.

– As our Father, what would You like Your children to do?

– To learn that they cannot force someone to love them. What they can do is let themselves be loved.

– To learn that it takes years to build trust and only seconds to destroy it.

– To learn that the most important thing in life is not what they have, but the people they have.

– To learn that it is not good to compare themselves with others. There will always be people who are better or worse than them.

- To learn that rich is not the one who has the most, but the one who needs the least.

– To learn that they must control their behavior or it will control them.

– To learn that just a few seconds can open deep wounds in the people they love, and that it takes years to forget them.

– To learn to forgive by practicing it.

– To learn that there are people who love them very much, but do not know how to show their feelings.

- To learn that money can buy everything except happiness.

– To learn that even if they feel upset sometimes, that doesn't give them the right to upset others.

- To learn that true friends are rare and if they find one - it is a real treasure.

- To learn that sometimes it is not enough to forgive them, but they must forgive themselves.

– To learn that they are masters of what they keep within themselves and slaves to what they say.

– To learn that they will reap what they have sown. If they spread rumors - they will get entangled in intrigues, if they spread love - they will be happy.

- To learn that true happiness does not consist in achieving their goals, but in being satisfied with what they have already achieved and are currently achieving.

– To learn that being happy is a decision. They decide to be happy with what they have and who they are, or die of envy and jealousy for what they don't have.

– To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see completely different things.
