10 GOALS for 2022 to free you from worries and stress

If worries ruled your life in 2021, then this new year 2022 is the time to make a fresh start. Making decisions that take care of your emotional health will help relieve worry and give you the pleasant feeling that you are managing your time, emotions and life wisely.

You could embody these 10 things in the first month or two of the new Year. And you will find that you will feel stronger, calmer and happier with every next day.

LET'S DO IT!

  1. Free yourself from unhealthy relationships. People who support you, understand you and push you to be better. They have a major place in your life. These are the people to be on your team.
  2. Make a mantra for the year. For example: "With everyone next day I'm better and better in every way” or “I'm Beautiful”. Repeat it to yourself every day and it will help you calm your mind.
  3. Start meditating. Get a high-quality guided meditation from an established teacher and practice daily. Meditating once a day (preferably in the evening, right before sleep) will help you get rid of the accumulated during the day tension, will free you from worries, will balance your emotions. This is where you can find your invaluable meditation
  4. Choose more foods containing anxiety-relieving minerals. Do you know which foods have a calming effect? These are the foods containing omega 3, B vitamins and magnesium. Or in other words, include more salmon, nuts, quinoa, millet, eggs, green leafy vegetables, oatmeal, blueberries, avocados, good quality dark chocolate in your menu.
  5. Make a gratitude journal. Write in it the pleasant things that happen to you. And whenever you feel stressed read from your journal and it will remind you how many good things are happening to you.
  6. Find an activity that gives you pleasure. Physical activity greatly helps to release anxiety and stress. Try different practices. Challenge yourself with yoga, it soothes and balances. Maybe you need dancing or martial arts. Climbing or more frequent walks in the mountains. Discover what you love.
  7. Give yourself more days to take care of yourself. Set a day to say NO. Take a break from everything and ONLY do what you really want. Even if it means doing absolutely nothing all day 😉
  8. Give yourself a break from technology. At least at night when you go to bed turn off your phone and leave it away from the bed. "Unplug" as much as possible.
  9. More and better quality sleep. Sleep is a huge factor in relieving stress and anxiety. Aim to get no less than 8 hours of quality sleep.
  10. Stop feeling bad for feeling bad. Feeling bad doesn't make you a bad person. Everything is fine, even when you feel bad. When you feel guilty about feeling bad, you make things worse. Take that load off. And remember it's normal and ok if you're not happy 100% and all the time.
