When you start loving yourself, you start living

This magnificent text is said to be Charlie Chaplin's 70th birthday speech. To this day, it is not clear who exactly is the author. In this case, however, the beauty and message of this material is more important. Namely: When you start loving yourself, you start living!

When I began to love myself, I realized that pain and suffering were just warning signs that I was living against my own truth. Now I know this is called "authenticity".

When I started to love myself, I realized how much I can affect someone if I push them to fulfill my desires before their time has come, and the person is not ready yet…even if that person is me.Today I call that "respect".

When I began to love myself, I stopped longing for another life and saw that everything that surrounded me invited me to grow.Today I call this "maturity".

When I started to love myself, I realized that under any circumstances I am in the right place, at the right time, and everything happens at the right moment, so I can be calm. Now I call this "self-confidence".

When I started loving myself, I stopped stealing from my own time and making grandiose plans for the future. Today I do only what brings me happiness and joy, what I love to do and what excites my heart. I do it in my own way and at my own pace.Today, I call this “simplicity”.

When I began to love myself, I let go of everything that harmed my health - food, people, things, situations. Everything that pulled me down and away from myself. At first I called this "healthy selfishness."Now I know it's "loving yourself".

When I loved myself, I stopped trying to always be right, and since then I make fewer mistakes. Now I understand that this is "modesty".

When I started loving myself, I stopped living in the past and worrying about the future. Today I live only in the present moment where everything is happening. Now I live each day for itself and call it "realization".

When I started to love myself, I realized that my mind could upset me and make me sick. But when I connected it to my heart, it became a valuable ally.I now call this interconnection "wisdom of the heart."

We no longer need to be afraid of arguments, confrontation and any problems with ourselves or others. Even the stars collide, but from their collision new worlds are born. Now I know, "This is life!"
