Easter: names, customs and table

Easter is celebrated on September 14. It is one of the Twelve Great Christian Holidays.

Nouns

Krastyo, Krastina, Krastinka, Christina, Christian, Christiana, Kuncho, Stavri

According to folklore from Crossroads, the sun "retreats" towards winter and the day "crosses" with the night - they become equal. The weather is getting colder, the waters of the sea and the rivers are getting colder.

Customs

On Epiphany, the cross is brought into the middle of the church for the faithful to worship. A water consecration is held and the priests sprinkle a cross on the homes for blessing.

Folk traditions dictate that the sowing of wheat crops should begin. The seed is illuminated before sowing itself. Besides nature interbreeding, men and women also observe interesting customs. After that day, the first frosts begin to fall, so the women wrap (wrap) their flowers in order not to freeze from the cold. Men begin to protect their waist from freezing and wrap their belts around it.

According to folk beliefs, on the night before Easter, all prayers will be heard. It is believed that the sky opens, and the Lord descends to Earth and will fulfill every sincere desire. One has to stay up until midnight to meet the day itself. Many people head precisely to Krastova Gora, where they spend the night, welcoming the day. It is believed that then the forest is most miraculous. On this holiday, it is believed that even dreams are miraculous - there people can get the key to their healing.
