A meditative technique with the breath
The meaning of the Latin word meditatio translated from Latin means contemplation. This word is increasingly entering our everyday life.
We live in dynamic times. On a daily basis, our minds and senses are literally bombarded with information that is almost impossible to assimilate. We live fast, eat fast, communicate fast, move fast. We deal with several things at the same time, constantly switching from one activity to another. All our senses are heightened to the limit. Every second our brain processes an incredible 400,000,000 (four hundred billion) bits of information. Literally every second, a huge amount of information pours upon us. Every second, our receptors for sight, smell, hearing, touch and taste process information from the external, material world. Every second our intuition, our inner senses and sensations process information from our invisible or inner world.
Meditation - the best way to a happy life and to know yourself
And when do we allow our senses and our brain to "rest"? And are there times when we "bath" them? Are we allowing our senses and brain to restore and purify?
How can we possibly take time to clean our home, take care of our car, wash our clothes, bathe our body. And even if we don't realize that our senses and our mind also need tender care. From "bathing". A time for mental relaxation and peace of mind.
You will probably tell me:
- What about at night? My brain rests at night.
Did you know that the brain is most active while you sleep? While you sleep, your brain is processing all that huge information from the day. In fact, it is most active at night.
How meditation can change the brain and help us feel better
Our health also depends on our stable psyche and fresh mind. And the way we perceive the world.
A wonderful and priceless gift to humanity is meditation. An ancient practice that allows us to be alone with ourselves, to "bath" our consciousness, to tame the flow of thought. Vitamin M!
And now dedicate 15 minutes to yourself. Only to yourself. Close your eyes and give yourself your breath of fresh air, your dose of vitamins. Just be still and observe the natural flow of the breath. But without being tempted to change it. Out of control. Just watch. Just be! As the breath enters you, move with it. When the breath goes backwards, let it go and move with it. Observe the mystery of the breath. The mystery of life. And after you have breathed out, you will find that there comes a very brief moment, a point where the breath stops. Just before he turns and begins the next breath, the breath stops. And then, after breathing in, you will discover the same mystery. Breath stops again. For a very short moment, for a moment. Inhale - pause, exhale - pause.
Meditation is a real complex of multivitamins for the soul, it strengthens the immunity of the mind and increases the defense mechanisms of all systems in our body and spirit.
Stop it! Communicate with your breath! Communicate with yourself! Take vitamin M!
