We have all felt or feel the pressure, conscious or unconscious, of those around us to act in a certain way. Often our loved ones think they know better than we do what is best for us. However, remember that\u2026<\/p>\n

It doesn't matter how you live, if you have roommates, if you live alone, if you have a partner with whom you share a home without being married... or if you live together without being in a relationship anymore... You don't have to explain anything to anyone. You don't have to justify your choice. It's your life, not theirs!<\/p>\n

2. You don't owe anyone an explanation for your priorities in life.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Want to quit your job to start your own business? Or do you want to sell everything and become a Red Cross volunteer? Not married yet because you want to build a career first? Or will you turn your back on your career for the sake of your children? Come on! Your priorities are your own. You don't have to try to impress anyone. Nor to comply with other people's ideas about life's priorities!<\/p>\n

Indeed, sometimes it is risky to say no, but you should do it anyway if your inner voice tells you that a yes will satisfy the other but sacrifice you. Know your limits and don't let others cross them. Unless you invite them.<\/p>\n

If you've lost weight or gained weight, if you've changed your hair color or whatever, you don't have to report to anyone. It's just you. It's their job to accept you, not yours.<\/p>\n
