While this type of landscape is typical of African destinations, the continent is incredibly diverse with hidden gems around almost every corner. As one of the world's largest inland deltas, the water is fed by Uganda's high waters, which flow into the Kalahari Desert plains before emptying into the open and flooding the savanna as it tries in vain to reach the Indian Ocean.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Many call the Okavango Delta Africa's last paradise. The delta is the natural lifeblood of all wildlife in the region, thus creating a vast oasis for exploration. Fly to the town of Maun and from there travel through different regions of the delta to enjoy a mostly water-based safari.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Locals call it "Mosi-oa-Tunya", which literally translates to "smoke that thunders". The tranquil Zambezi River plunges 30 meters down and flows into a wall of mist with an authority you've never seen before.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Sahara in Morocco<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Sahara is mostly impassable due to its unpleasant climate and frequent sandstorms. Lucky for you, there's an access point to the desert from the northern tip of Morocco in the town of Zagora, which is friendlier than the others and easily one of the most beautiful (and desolate) places in Africa.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

South Africa is home to the national park known as the Kruger National Park. It's one of the most famous game parks in the world, and for good reason. This is a park where spotting the Big 5 (lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and rhino) is almost certain and one of the main reasons why so many tourists choose South Africa for their safari.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Every year several million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras start from the southern Serengeti in Tanzania and follow the rain to Kenya's Masai Mara.
