An old Cherokee was telling his grandson about the struggle that goes on inside each of us. He told the boy that two wolves are fighting in our souls.
One is evil - it is anger, envy, discontent, denial, greed, arrogance, self-pity, feelings of inferiority or superiority, lying, false pride and self-centeredness.
The other is good - it is joy, peace, love, hope, tranquility, modesty, kindness, benevolence, reciprocity, generosity, sincerity, compassion and faith.
The grandson thought for a moment and then asked his grandfather:
– And which wolf wins?
– The one you feed. - answered the old Cherokee.
